Casadas y viudas son las que más ahorran

Sin duda alguna las mujeres son las nuevas protagonistas del siglo XXI, sus iniciativas, su creatividad, y su autonomía en el manejo de los recursos les ha permitido desarrollar una alta capacidad de ahorro formal e informal.

Precisamente hace poco realizamos un análisis de las personas con mayor hábito de ahorro formal en Confiar Cooperativa Financiera y esto fue lo que encontramos:

En primer lugar, que el 57% de los saldos de ahorro que se movilizan son de las mujeres, lo que nos evidencia la importancia del género para el apalancamiento de la economía cooperativa.

Aunque las nuevas generaciones comprenden la importancia del ahorro, la mujer con más experiencia de vida ha construido una cultura de ahorro a través de sus diferentes vivencias, es decir, que encontramos una relación proporcional positiva de la edad y la conciencia económica, o en otras palabras, a mayor edad, mayor es su hábito

Un tercer hallazgo que puede estar muy conectado con el anterior es que las mujeres casadas y viudas tiene una mayor conciencia de ahorro e incluso un promedio más alto de saldo ahorrado, una de las razones más importantes es el hecho de tener una economía compartida, bien sea con su pareja o con sus hijos.

Los tres anteriores resultados nos demuestran las altas capacidades que tiene las mujeres para distribuir los recursos escasos, para generar iniciativas que se conviertan en nuevos ingresos, para construir economías creativas y la importancia de continuar trabajando por la subjetividad y el empoderamiento económico que movilice no solo recursos sino, nuevas formas de ver la cotidianidad.
